LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven field hockey team fell to Georgetown, 1-0, in a non-conference game on Friday afternoon (Sept. 6) at Charlotte Smith Field.

In the opening minute of the contest, Lock Haven scored its first goal on the season when
Gracyn Catalano found the back of the cage off an assist from
Brooke Hofsass.

However, the Hoyas connected on the equalizer in the second period to send the game into the break tied 1-1.

Georgetown scored its second unanswered goal in the fifth minute of the third period to go up 2-1 and its defense didn't relinquish the lead from there to secure the victory.

For Lock Haven, Hafsass and
Molly Lynch led the team with two shots each, while Lynch provided a spark for the Bald Eagles in the midfield.

Maja Halasz and
Kelsey Felix split time in cage for Lock Haven and combined for three saves.

Lock Haven falls to 0-3 and Georgetown improves to 1-1.
