LANCASTER, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's wrestling team returned to action today (Friday, Jan. 10) and the Bald Eagles turned in a strong effort at the David H. Lehman '68 Open, hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
Over 20 Bald Eagles hit the mats today, competing attached and unattached.
Leading the way for The Haven was
Nick Stampoulos at 157.
Stampoulos, the third seed, went 5-1 on the day. Stampoulos majored Bucknell's Riley Bower before posting an 8-3 decision over Caden Bellis.
In the third place bout, Stampoulos defeated Trae McDaniel 9-3.
At 285, No.17
Gavin Hoffman went 5-1 with a tech, pin, and major.
Wrestling unattached,
Gable Strickland finished 4-2 with two techs and a major in the 133-pound bracket.
Ousamane Duncanson (165) went 4-2 with a pin and one tech fall.
Hunter Gould,
Connor Eck, and
Eric Alderfer all finished 3-2. Alderfer had two victories by pin.
