No. 14 Women’s Wrestling set for 2025 National Dual; Bracket & streaming details released

The Bald Eagles are set to take on the nation’s best in collegiate women’s wrestling this weekend and will travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa to compete in the 2025 National Duals.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The No. 14 Lock Haven women's wrestling team is set to compete against the nation's best in collegiate wrestling this weekend and will travel to Cedar Falls on Friday & Saturday, Jan. 10-11 to compete in the 2025 National Duals at the UNI-Dome.
 
The Bald Eagles kick off the weekend with a season rematch against No. 2 King University at 11 a.m. eastern time on Friday. Depending on the result, The Haven's next match will be at 12:30 p.m. eastern against either No. 16 Sacred Heart or No. 6 Colorado Mesa.

NWCA Releases the NCAA Women's Bracket for NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships:
 
The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has shared the NCAA Women's bracket for the upcoming NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships. Presented by A Better Way Athletics, Capitol Construction, and Defense Soap, this year's event will once again take place at the University of Northern Iowa's UNI-Dome on January 10-11, 2025.
 
The top eight seeds in the NCAA Women's bracket are as follows:
  1. Iowa
  2. North Central
  3. King
  4. McKendree
  5. Presbyterian
  6. Colorado Mesa
  7. Elmira
  8. Wartburg
Wrestling fans can catch the action-packed event featuring these top-seeded teams as they vie for the National Title in person or LIVE on FloWrestling.
 
This year's event features seven of the top eight placing teams from a year ago including defending National Duals Champions, Iowa.  The Hawkeyes return as the #1 seed and favorite but will be challenged by #2 King, #3 North Central, and the rest of the field.

Bald Eagles on the National Scene:
Freshman standout Alyssa Favara is ranked No. 3 in the nation this week at 207#, and the Lock Haven women's wrestling team is ranked in a tie for 14thnationally.
 
Favara, a Johnstown, Pennsylvania native, is a perfect 14-0 on the season.
 
Earlier this week, Lock Haven fell to King University, 34-15. King jumped up to No. 2 in the nation in this week's poll.
 
The Bald Eagles will travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa, on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 10-11, to compete in the National Duals.
