LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Olivia Hudson scored the game-winning goal late in the second half and
Megan Miller recorded a clean sheet to lift the Lock Haven women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over East Stroudsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game at Hubert Jack Stadium on Wednesday night (Oct. 15).
The Bald Eagles secured their first victory in the PSAC East to improve to 3-6-2 overall and 1-6-2 in the conference. ESU moves to 5-4-3 overall and 3-4-3 in the East.
After a scoreless 78 minutes, Hudson found the back of the net off a screamer to the upper-right 90 of the goal off an assist from
Lauren Straub.
As she did all night long, Miller remained strong in net for the final 12 minutes to help Lock Haven seal the victory. Miller finished with a game-high six saves and is now just four saves away from breaking the Lock Haven all-time career saves record.
The victory is the first win for The Haven over East Stroudsburg since 2018.
The Haven finished with a game-high 14 shots and four corners.
Maci Shaffer led the Bald Eagles with four shots, including two on goal. Hudson finished with three shots, all on goal, and her team-leading second goal of the season.
Wednesday night was also the program's West Branch Soccer Club Appreciation Game.
