BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Quarterback
Jackson Ostrowsky threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns, and the Bald Eagles' defense forced three turnovers as the Lock Haven football team dominated host Bloomsburg from start to finish in an important 38-17 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division victory.
With the win, Lock Haven extended its win streak to three games over Bloomsburg, a win-streak that dates back to the 2023 season.
The 2023 (W, 21-13) and 2024 (W, 35-32) victories came by way of a combined 11 points.
Today it was a different story as Ostrowsky returned to the lineup and sparked the offense with a remarkable individual effort. He was 21 of 28 passing for 303 yards, no interceptions and the three aforementioned TDs.
Cureem Hathcock and
Tucker Teats both rushed for touchdowns as The Haven racked up 402 total yards of offense.
Justin Popovich hauled in two touchdown catches and
Jaiden Huntington finished with six catches for 106 yards and a TD.
Tyler Merwarth and
Q McMillan both had interceptions for the defense.
LucRichard Rameau finished with a team-high nine tackles.
Davien Vernon made seven tackles and Merwarth added six stops.
Lock Haven led 21-17 at halftime and shutout the host Huskies 17-0 in the second half.
Trailing 3-0 in the first quarter, Hathcock scored on a seven-yard run, which put Lock Haven up 6-3.
Early in the second quarter, and again trailing – 10-6 – Popovich hauled in the first of his two TD-catches and the Bald Eagles led 14-10 with 10:02 to play in the half.
With 5:25 left in the first half, Ostrowsky and Popovich connected on a 32-yard pass play and Lock Haven led 21-10.
Teats scored on a two-yard run in the third quarter to stretch The Haven advantage to 28-17.
Caden Bauer kicked a 29-yard field goal and Huntington caught a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring.
With the win, Lock Haven pushed its record to 2-3 overall and moved level in PSAC East play at 1-1. The loss put Bloomsburg at 1-4 overall (0-2 PSAC East).
The win was the first on the road this season for the Bald Eagles.

The Bald Eagles will return home to host No. 4 Kutztown next Saturday, Oct. 11. The Week-6 PSAC East clash will kick off at 6 p.m.

Next Saturday's (Oct. 11) home game vs. Kutztown is the first of two straight games at Lock Haven's Hubert Jack Stadium and Homecoming 2025 is on the horizon. The Bald Eagles will host West Chester on Homecoming Saturday (Oct. 18) at 1 p.m.
