Men’s Soccer falls in home finale to No. 16 Gannon; Bald Eagles secure postseason berth

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's soccer team fell to 16th-ranked Gannon at home on Saturday (Nov. 1), 3-0, to wrap up its home regular season schedule. It was the first Bald Eagles' loss since Oct. 1 and ended the non-losing streak at seven.

The Bald Eagles move to 8-5-4 overall and 4-2-3 in the PSAC East, while Gannon improved to 10-2-4 on the season and 7-0-2 in the conference. Gannon secured the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship Tournament, while Lock Haven (15 points) has officially edged out Slippery Rock (11 points) for the third and final postseason berth.

Lock Haven is headed to the PSAC Championship for the first time since 2021. The official postseason schedule and tournament preview will be released at LockHavenAthletics.com following the regular season finale.

The shots were close in the game, with Lock Haven having 13 to Gannon's 14.

Carter Rosno was the leading shot taker for the Bald Eagles with three and one on goal.

Kade Black and Austen Veach both had two shots and one on goal.

Javier Contreras Leon came close to scoring with a shot that hit off the post.

Ethan Beck totaled three saves, before Reece Kordes substituted in and added one without allowing a goal.

It was a highly physical contest that featured six yellow cards and 29 total fouls.

Next Up

Lock Haven will wrap up the regular season by heading to Greensburg, Pa., to take on Seton Hill on Thursday, Nov. 6.
