KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's volleyball team fell this afternoon (Nov. 1) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East battle against Kutztown 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 20-25, 20-25).
The Haven's best set came in the second when they came away with a 25-20 victory after forcing six KU errors and holding the Golden Bears to a .07 hit percentage.
Despite the loss, The Haven had just one fewer kills (50-51) and two less assists (48-50) then the Golden Bears. Lock Haven also finished with seven service aces and matched Kutztown with seven blocks.
Lola Coulter led Lock Haven with 15 kills, followed by Gracelynn Wolzen with eight.
Madelyn Wagner dished out a team-high 44 assists, with Maddie Mitchell adding in two of her own.
Wagner and Peyton Stanton combined for seven blocks at the net.
Natalie Acevedo also contributed 20 digs and dished one assist too.
The Haven falls to 8-16, while Kutztown improves to 12-12.
