ATHENS, W.Va. – The Lock Haven women's basketball team wrapped up its weekend at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) vs. Mountain East Conference Challenge by taking on the host Concord on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 15.
Alana Robinson led all scorers with 22 points on 8-of-19 shots from the floor. The senior also blocked two shots.
Madeline Evans secured her second straight double-double to open the season, finishing with 16 points, 14 rebounds and a pair of blocks.
Jenadia Jordan chipped in 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while
Rhlyn Rouse also added eight rebounds.
Sydney Lear led the second unit with 10 points in 18 minutes.
After a 17-17 first period, Lock Haven outscored Concord 18-11 in the second to lead by seven points heading into the break.
However, Concord outscored The Haven 49-33 in the second half, behind five triples and 14 free throws in the final quarter, to come from behind to steal the victory.
Neither team shot above 40 percent from the floor, but Concord made up the difference in scoring by leading 8-2 in shots made from behind the arch. Lock Haven knocked down just 2-of-14 shots from deep and 26-of-41 shots at the foul line.
The Bald Eagles finished with a 36-22 advantage in points in the paint.
Lock Haven moves to 0-2 overall and Concord improves to 1-1.
