LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's indoor track & field team opened the season at the Bison Open on Friday (Dec. 5) and Saturday (Dec. 6).
Lock Haven sent 40 men to compete at Bucknell.
The Bald Eagles hit two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying marks and one NCAA provisional mark.
Highlights:
- PSAC Qualifiers – Eric Zalar placed fifth in the weight throw with a 17.39m mark, qualifying him for the PSAC Championships on February 28th, at Lehigh University. Matt Reinard qualified for the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.41, placing fifth.
- National Qualifiers – Nick Bellomo totaled 4,827 points in the Heptathlon, hitting an NCAA provisional mark and finishing third. Bellomo finished first in the 60m (7.12) and first in the pole vault (4.35m).

Lock Haven returns to action on January 17th when they send athletes to the Nittany Lion Open at Penn State and the River Hawk Invite at Susquehanna.
