Men’s Wrestling set to close regular season Thursday night at home

Bald Eagles set to close 2024-25 regular season at home on Thursday night vs. Edinboro in MAC action

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's wrestling team is set to close out the 2024-25 regular season on Thursday night (Feb. 20) at home vs. longtime rival Edinboro in Mid-American Conference (MAC) action.

The Bald Eagles are looking to cap a special run this season and will enter Thursday night's match with a perfect 6-0 MAC record. On the season, Lock Haven is also perfect at home in Thomas Fieldhouse, thanks to a mark of 5-0.

Overall, the Bald Eagles are 13-5 and have won nine straight duals. The 13 wins are the most in a season since Lock Haven won 17 (17-4) duals during the 2001-02 season.

Lock Haven is the only MAC team remaining with an unbeaten mark in Mid-American Conference action. A win Thursday could secure the Bald Eagles first run of perfection at home and in league action since the 2018-19 campaign. Back in 2018-19, Lock Haven finished 6-0 in conference duals, as it marked the Bald Eagles' final season in the Eastern Wrestling League (EWL). The Haven was also a perfect 5-0 at home that year.

Lock Haven's projected lineup for Thursday vs. Edinboro features six nationally-ranked wrestlers.

Edinboro is 8-5 overall and 2-4 in MAC duals, but three of the Fighting Scots' eight wins this season have come on the road (3-1). Edinboro has lost two straight matches and Colton Camacho is Edinboro's only ranked wrestler (No. 31 at 133 lbs), which sets up a nationally-ranked bout at 133 Thursday.

Prior to the match Thursday, Lock Haven will honor its 2024-25 Senior Class and the Bald Eagles will also celebrate their EWL Champions.
