MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team capped a three-game series with Millersville today (March 15, 2025) in a doubleheader. The Bald Eagles fell in both games, with scores of 9-2 and 10-4.
The sweep drops Lock Haven to 10-9 and pushes No. 24 Millersville to 13-3.
Game 1 Recap: Millersville 9 – Lock Haven 2
Millersville was able to scratch seven runs across the first two innings against the Bald Eagles.
Leading the offense for The Haven was
Zachary McEllroy (2-for-3, 3B) and
Ethan Nagy (1-for-2, 2B, RBI, BB).
Jaxson Pupo,
Nathan Wise and
Morgen Billotte also collected hits along the way.
The right-hander
Matt Lingenfelter started on the mound for the Bald Eagles, tossing four innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits, while striking out two. The loss brings his record to 2-1 on the young season.
Aiden Starn made his second appearance of the season, pitching two innings and allowing one earned run.
Game 2 Recap: Millersville 10 – Lock Haven 4
Millersville got off to a hot start and scored four runs in the first and again in the fifth, which proved to be the difference.
The Haven scored two runs in each of the third and fifth innings.
Bryce Vincent (2-for-4, 2 RBIs) and
Nick White (1-for-2, HBP, RBI) led the Bald Eagles in game two. Stephan McMillan and Billotte each had hits as well.
Garrett Starr tossed four innings, allowing four earned runs on three hits and five walks, while striking out two.

The Lock Haven baseball team will travel to California University of Pennsylvania next Friday (March 21, 2025) for their first PSAC West conference action of the season. The Bald Eagles will play in a doubleheader, with game one first pitch at 1 p.m.
