MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Sunday, March 2) – The Lock Haven baseball team fell to Hillsdale College this afternoon with a final score of 10-6. The Bald Eagles move to 8-3 overall on the season.
The Bald Eagles finished the weekend 2-1 after sweeping Fairmont State on Friday and Saturday.

Lock Haven jumped to an early lead in the first thanks to back-to-back sacrifice flies from Bryce Vincent and Zachary McEllroy.
Jake Ambrosio came up big in the fourth and ripped a three-run homer to left, giving the Bald Eagles a 5-1 lead.
However, Hillsdale plated nine runs in the top of the fifth inning which proved to be the difference.
Brady Myers got the start for the Haven (4 IP, 5 ER, 6 H, 3 K's), with Zach Griffin (2 IP, 5 UER, 2 H) coming in for relief, and the trio of Jason Labrador, Ethan Nagy and Jace Szaflarski each pitched one inning and not allowing a run.
Stephen McMillan drilled a single into center in the ninth, scoring one. Nathan Wise, Nick White, Connor Griffin and Nagy each had two hits as well.
Up next for Lock Haven:
Lock Haven returns to West Virgina next weekend (Saturday March 8th and 9th) and takes on Salem in a four-game series.
On Monday (Feb. 24), the Bald Eagles were announced as the No. 10 team in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Atlantic Region poll.
