LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven tennis team hosted Shippensburg and California (Pa.) at the Lock Haven Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon on the program's Senior Day.
Prior to the match, The Haven honored seniors
Mary Kathryn Hillman and
Christy McLean for their dedication and contributions to the Bald Eagles.
Shippensburg won the opening match of the day 7-0.
Hillman and
Alaina Marchioni had a close battle at No. 2 doubles, following in a narrow 6-4 decision to Ava Kalist and Brinley Orris.
At No. 1 singles,
Megan Ferris fell in a tough battle 7-6 (7-2), 6-2.
California (Pa.) won the final match of the day 6-1.
At No. 6 singles,
Breanna Chicas earned her first victory at The Haven, downing Gianna Bloom 6-4, 6-1.
At No. 4 singles, Marchioni forced a tiebreaker, before falling 10-6.

The Haven remains home and will host Bloomsburg at the Lock Haven Tennis Courts on Thursday, April 17 at 3 p.m.
