SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's track and field team returned to action for week five of its outdoor season, competing in the Ship Mid-Week Meet hosted by Shippensburg on Wednesday.
The Ship Mid-Week Meet took place at Seth Grove Stadium.
PSAC Qualifying Marks
Peter Bellomo (Javelin Throw) and
Nathan Fetchkan (Hammer Throw)
Track Highlights
A trio of Bald Eagles ran in the 100-meter dash.
Dylan Cassetori finished in the top-10 with a time of 11.25, with
Lucca Capparelli and
Lukas Epitropakis finishing with times of 11.46 and 11.54, respectively.
Cassetori and Capparelli also ran in the 200-meter, finishing seventh and tenth with times of 23.02 and 23.13.
Epitropakis was joined by
Gage Chipeleski,
Micah Inch and
Jaden Wright in the 4x100-meter relay, finishing with a time of 45.09.
In the 400-meter,
Sage Carr ran for a time of 53.21.
Dylan Way cracked the top 10 in the 800-meter race with 2:06.32, and
Colin Simander finished with 2:08.32 in the same event.
Simander also ran in the 1500-meter finishing fourth with a time of 4:20.72.
Jacob Watson competed in two hurdle events. He finished the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 19.71 and the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.59.
Field Highlights
Peter Bellomo led the way for The Haven in the field, throwing for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) distance of 180-07 in the javelin throw, finishing first, and
Nathan Fetchkan, achieving a PSAC distance of 159-02 in the hammer throw, also finishing fifth.
Also, in the hammer throw,
Colton Myers threw for a distance of 138-10.
Fetchkan also threw in the shot put for a distance of 44-08.25.
Ben Streator and
Shawn Hertzog hit the same height of 5-10.75 in the high jump, finishing third and fourth.
Kevin Taylor hit a height of 12-09.50 in the pole vault event.
In the long jump, Wright and
Chase Young finished in the top ten with leaps of 21-04.75 and 10-10.00, respectively.
Braedon Firanski and
Patrick Marcinko threw in the discus throw for distances of 141-00 and 131-03.
Next up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles will travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 19, to compete in the Bucknell Team Challenge hosted by Bucknell University.
