Men’s Track & Field competes at the Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's track and field team returned to action for week three of its outdoor season, competing in the Muhlenberg Invitational hosted by Muhlenberg on Saturday.

The Muhlenberg Invitational took place at Scotty Wood Stadium.

Track Highlights

Skylar Small led the way for the Bald Eagles on the track, finishing seventh in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:01.64.

In the 110-meter hurdles, Jacob Watson finished with a time of 19:89, and in the 400-meter hurdles, he finished with a time of 1:04.06.

A pair from The Haven cracked the top 10 in the 400-meter dash, with Sage Carr and Rocky Romani finishing with times of 53.57 and 53.87, respectively.

Lukas Epitropakis and Jonah White competed in the 200-meter dash with times of 23.26 and 23.60. Epitropakis and White also competed in the 100-meter dash, finishing with times of 11.56 and 11.60, respectively.

Distance runner Colin Simander posted a time of 4:17.02 in the 1500-meter race.

 

Field Highlights

Parker Sandt hit a personal record in the hammer throw with a throw of 106-03. Sandt also threw in the shot put event, throwing for a distance of 34-00.25.

Two Bald Eagles cracked the top 10 in their field events: Shawn Hertzog achieved a height of 5-11.50 in the high jump, and Keegan Gwinn threw 156-11 in the javelin throw.

In the long jump, Ben Streator leaped for a distance of 17-10.25.

Next up for The Haven:

The Bald Eagles will travel to Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, on Thursday and Friday, April 10-11, to compete in the two-day Susquehanna Outdoor Multi hosted by Susquehanna University.
