LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Riley Best and
Maci Brodzina of the Lock Haven softball team were named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday, May 27.
Best maintains a 3.68 grade-point-average as a member of the Health Science department, while Brodzina secured a 3.84 as a Health and Physical Education major.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
