BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven volleyball team went on the road in its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opener and defeated Bloomsburg 3-1 (25-14, 25-20, 18-25, 25-17) on Tuesday (Sept. 23).
Lock Haven dominated the opening set with 12 kills and two blocks, outscoring Bloomsburg 25-14.
The Bald Eagles kept the momentum in the second set, upending the Huskies 25-20 behind 13 kills, four aces, and three blocks.
The Haven dropped the third set 18-25 before bouncing back in the fourth set with five aces and closing out the victory with a 25-17 score.
Gracelynn Wolzen led the attack with 14 kills.
Maddie Mitchell tallied 13 kills, three aces, and 11 digs in her first career PSAC East action.
Madelyn Wagner notched 20 assists and
Gabby Gealey added 17 more to the assists column.
Olivia Taylor led the strong defensive effort with 19 digs.
Lock Haven improves to 3-7 overall and 1-0 in PSAC East play.

Lock Haven will travel to Western Pennsylvania for its weekend non-conference road trip. The Bald Eagles will head to Greensburg, Pa. to take on Seton Hill Friday (Sept. 26) at 6:00 P.M. before heading to California, Pa. to face the Vulcans on Saturday (Sept. 27) at 1:00 P.M.
