NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Lock Haven volleyball team opened the 2025 season by competing in the Hall of Fame City Challenge on the campus of Walsh University on Friday afternoon (Sept. 5). The Bald Eagles fell to Saginaw Valley State (3-0) and Walsh (3-1).
Lock Haven opens the season with a (0-2) record after today's results.
Saginaw Valley State Recap: (0-3) (18-25, 24-26, 22-25)
The Bald Eagles fell to the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals 3-0 in their season opener.
Freshman
Maddie Mitchell led the way in her debut with five kills and three aces.
Reagan Irons and
Gracelynn Wolzen both added five kills.
Gabby Gealey notched 19 assists, and
Natalie Acevedo posted 10 digs.

Lock Haven suffered a loss to the Walsh Cavaliers 3-1 in its second match of the day.
Maddie Mitchell continued a strong debut with 15 kills.
Gabby Gealey posted a team-high 30 assists.
Natalie Acevedo registered 16 digs and three aces.
