Men’s Basketball falls at East Stroudsburg

The Bald Eagles visited ESU for a PSAC East contest on Wednesday

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Lock Haven men's basketball team fell on the road at East Stroudsburg, 92-63, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game on Wednesday night.
 
The loss snapped a two-game win streak for The Haven, who moved to 7-10 overall and 3-7 in conference play. Last week, the Bald Eagles won both of its games in Eastern Division play after downing Mansfield and Millersville at home.
 
East Stroudsburg improved to 13-5 overall and 7-4 in the PSAC.

Keith Warren and Dyllon Scott each finished with a team-high 16 points to pace the Bald Eagles. Warren went 5-of-11 from the floor and 6-of-8 at the line, while Scott shot 5-of-9 from the field and added four rebounds.
 
Devon Nelson came off the bench to spark Lock Haven with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Luke Kennevan and Dean Coleman-Newsome added nine points each, while Coleman-Newsome chipped in five assists and three steals.
 
Blake Deegan impacted the game across the box score with four points, four rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal.

Lock Haven shot a solid 48 percent from the field (24-of-50), but East Stroudsburg's depth and pace proved decisive as the Warriors put five players in double figures and got 60 points from their bench.
 
The hosts used an early 15-4 surge to build a double-digit lead midway through the first half and carried a 40-26 advantage into the locker room.

The Bald Eagles opened the second half with back-to-back jumpers from Warren to trim the deficit to 10 at 40-30, but East Stroudsburg quickly answered and never let the margin slip back to single digits.

Next up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles return home to host West Chester on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. for a PSAC East contest in Thomas Fieldhouse.
