Women’s Basketball picks up road victory at West Chester, extends win streak to 14 games

The Bald Eagles won their 14th straight game on Saturday (Feb. 21) at West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's basketball team traveled to West Chester, Pa. to face the Golden Rams in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East contest. Strong first and fourth quarters propelled the Bald Eagles to a 65-53 victory.
 
The Haven, which is a perfect 14-0 vs. Eastern Division foes, improved to 20-5 overall and 16-3 in the PSAC.
 
West Chester dropped to 10-15 overall and 6-13 in PSAC play.
 
The Bald Eagles were led by a great two-way performance from Alana Robinson. Robinson scored 22 points on 9-13 shooting from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line. She also added a game-high nine rebounds, three blocks and two assists.
 
Rhlyn Rouse added to her strong week by scoring 19 points on 8-15 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds.
 
Jenadia Jordan also found double figures with 10 points and added four assists and six rebounds.
 
Madeline Evans set a new Lock Haven single-season free-throw record by going 2-2 from the charity stripe today. Evans passed Jordan's record of 160 from two seasons ago. The nation's leading rebounder also added seven more to her impressive season total.
 
Nufi Nemale-Djiegoue knocked down two 3-pointers. Lacey Kriebel and Julia Whesper both came off the bench and made their only attempts from three.
 
NEXT UP
Lock Haven will travel to Bloomsburg, Pa. to face the Huskies in a PSAC Eastern Division contest on Wednesday (Feb. 25) before returning to the Thomas Fieldhouse for Senior Day vs. Shippensburg on Saturday (Feb. 28).
