EDINBORO, Pa. - The Lock Haven lacrosse team led from start to finish to soar to a 17-10 victory at Edinboro in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West contest on Saturday afternoon.

With the victory, Lock Haven improves to 7-5 overall and 3-3 in the PSAC West to move into a tie for third place with Indiana (Pa.). Edinboro falls to 2-10 on the season and 0-6 in the conference.

The Bald Eagles jumped out to an 8-2 advantage over the opening 15 minutes, headlined by a hat-trick by
Gabby Gunnip and a pair of goals from
Lexi Bunk and
Makayla Kelly.

The Haven extended its lead to 12-3 heading into the break and never looked back to run away with the road victory.

Bunk (four goals, assist), Kelly (four goals, 3 assists) and Gunnip (four goals, 3 assists) powered the offense with dominant individual efforts.

Hadley Munn,
Brynlee Pinschenat,
Ashlyn LaGray and
Peyton Masters also found the back of the net.

Sam Hauck,
Paige McKim and Kelly finished with two caused turnovers, while Hauck and
Maddy Raspen scooped up a team-high three ground balls.

Lock Haven starting goalkeeper
Gretchen King made four saves to earn the victory in net. The sophomore went over 300 career saves in under two seasons.
Mikayla Mellenthine (one save) and
Landyn Dayton (three saves) also saw time in net for The Haven.

The Bald Eagles return home on Wednesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. to host Seton Hill in a PSAC West battle.
