PENN RELAYS RESULTS
PAUL KAISER CLASSIC
PHILADELPHIA/SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's outdoor track and field team sent competitors to the Penn Relays and Paul Kaiser Classic over the weekend (April 24-25).
Penn Relays
The Bald Eagles sent some of their best athletes to the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States and came home with a new program record.
Gavin Furey,
Sam Wible,
Anden Aitkins and
Jakob Rager set the Lock Haven program record in the Distance Medley Relay. The Bald Eagles ran a speedy 9:58.97, breaking the record that had stood since 1999.
Furey completed the 1200m leg in 3:04.9 and passed the baton to Wible who completed the 400m in 49.4.
Aitkins handled the 800m in 1:53.3 before Rager completed the 1600m in 4:11.4.
Eric Zalar took seventh in the Hammer Throw by reaching an NCAA provisional mark of 192-9 (58.76m).
Josiah Schans finished 19th in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 14:33, running against the wind.
Schans also finished the 400m Hurdles in 53.84.
Peter Bellomo took tenth in the Javelin Throw. Bellomo reached a mark of 187-9 (57.23m).
Matt Reinard, Wible, Aitkins and Schans finished the 4x400m Relay in 3:18.26.
Paul Kaiser Classic
Parker Keiser,
Evan Klinger and
Anthony Marchetti finished in the top eight in the 3000m Steeplechase. Keiser took third (10:15.54), Klinger finished fourth (10:18.20) and Marchetti took eighth (10:39.86).
Garrison Lucas,
Jaden Wright,
Dylan Cassetori and
Gage Chipeleski took fifth in the 4x100m Relay by finishing in 44.11.
Kevin Taylor took sixth in the Pole Vault by clearing 12-11.5 (3.95m).
Jorge Santana finished sixth in the 400m hurdles by finishing in 57.63. Santana also took ninth in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 15.61.
Ben Smith took eighth in the Javelin Throw by reaching a mark of 152-3 (46.42m) and
Bryce Warren took ninth in the Triple Jump by reaching a mark of 40-10.5 (12.46m).
Ben Gusciora took seventh in the High Jump. Gusciora cleared a mark of 5-5 (1.65m).
Ben Streator finished ninth in the event by clearing 5-3 (1.60m).
Shawn Hertzog finished tenth by also clearing 5-3 (1.60m).
Noah Spayd took eighth in the 5000m with a 16:22.78 and Ridge Snider took ninth in the 800m with a 1:58.53.
