Three Bald Eagles earn Women’s Lacrosse All-PSAC honors

Three Lock Haven women’s lacrosse players earned All-PSAC selections; Gabby Gunnip named First Team

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven women's lacrosse team landed three athletes on the on the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) All-League Teams, the conference office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Senior attacker Gabby Gunnip was named to the All-PSAC First Team, while junior attacker Makayla Kelly and sophomore goalkeeper Gretchen King both landed on the Second Team.
 
Gunnip earned her third overall All-PSAC honor, while being named to the First Team for the second time, while King secured her second overall honor after being named to the First Team as a freshman.
 
Kelly earned her first all-conference selection after being named the PSAC West Freshman of the Year in 2024.
 
The trio helped lead the Bald Eagles (9-7 overall, 5-5 PSAC) to their third straight PSAC Championship Tournament as the No. 4 see in the PSAC West.
 
Gabby Gunnip, Senior, First Team Attacker
Gunnip was a first-team PSAC West attacker after turning in one of the top offensive seasons in the conference for Lock Haven. She finished with 56 goals and 78 points, ranking near the top of the PSAC in both categories while also adding 22 assists, 52 draw controls, 18 ground balls, and 16 caused turnovers.
 
She was a steady all-around threat for the Bald Eagles, leading the team in goals, points, and shots, and helping power a Lock Haven offense that scored 213 goals on the year. 
 
Gunnip scored five-or-more goals in four different games and wraps up her career with 198 goals, which is tied for fifth all time in program history.
 
Makayla Kelly, Junior, Second Team Attacker
Kelly was named to the All-PSAC Second Team for the first time in her career after finishing the season second on the team in goals (48), assists (24), points (72), draw controls (48) and shots (102).
 
Kelly, who has finished with over 40 goals in each of her first three seasons, dished out a career-high 24 assists, which ranked just outside the top-10 in the conference.
 
Kelly scored seven goals in The Haven's win over Tiffin, which was the season-high for any Bald Eagle on the year. 
 
Gretchen King, Sophomore, Second Team Attacker
Gretchen King was the backbone of Lock Haven's defense in 2026, starting all 17 games while posting 191 saves, a .495 save percentage and a 12.66 goals-against average.
 
She finished second in the PSAC in saves and saves per game, while ranking fourth in save percentage.
 
King had double-digit saves in 10 games, including a season-high 19 against Shippensburg.
 
The sophomore secured her second straight nine-win season in net to start off her career.
