BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Lock Haven women's volleyball team returned to the court Friday for Day 2 of the D'Youville Tournament, facing Kutztown and Pitt-Johnstown.
 
Lock Haven dropped a 3-0 decision to Kutztown before taking the opening set against Pitt-Johnstown in its second match of the day. The Bald Eagles fell to the Mountain Cats, 3-1, and now stand at 1-2 overall.
 
Kutztown 3, Lock Haven 0
Kutztown earned the straight-set victory by scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 27-25.
 
Lock Haven battled throughout the final set and pushed the Golden Bears beyond regulation, but Kutztown held on for the two-point victory to close the match.

Reagan Irons and Maddie Mitchell led the way with six kills, while Payton Stanton, Gracelynn Wolzen and Natalie Acevedo each racked up six. Natalie Gibson also finished with a team-high 24 assists. 
 
Olivia Taylor added a team-high 16 digs on defense and Acevedo chipped in 11. Peyton Stanton finished with a solo block. 
 
Pitt-Johnstown 3, Lock Haven 1
Lock Haven opened its second match of the day with a 25-22 victory in the first set over Pitt-Johnstown. The Mountain Cats responded with wins of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-18 to claim the four-set decision.
 
The Bald Eagles hit .219 in the opening-set victory, using eight kills from Reagan Irons and six from Maddy Fox during the match. 
 
Gracelynn Wolzen recorded six kills and Mitchell contributed nine. 

Olivia Taylor finished with a team-high 22 digs and Natalie Gibson dished out a team-high 31 assists.
