Nearly 170 Lock Haven student-athletes gathered at Hubert Jack Stadium/Glen Allison Track early Friday morning for a moment of remembrance, reflection and unity.
 
Together, they ran the stadium steps for 25 minutes, marking 25 years since 9/11.
 
For today's students, September 11 is a day they know through the stories and firsthand experiences of those who lived through it. Friday morning offered an opportunity to carry those memories forward while reflecting on the unity that emerged in the days that followed.
 
Lock Haven Softball Coach Danielle Fraser spoke to the athletes before the run, connecting that sense of unity to what it means to be part of a team. "Much like how we united as a nation that day, the same type of impact happens when we come together as a team," Coach Fraser reflected. "Or, in this case, all of our teams coming together as one."
 
For 25 minutes, nearly 170 athletes from across the Haven moved together with a shared purpose.
25 minutes for 25 years.
 
Today, Lock Haven remembers. Today, Lock Haven reflects. And together, we honor the lives forever changed on September 11, 2001.
