LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven women's volleyball team concluded its weekend at the Lock Haven Tournament with a 2-1 record in front of the home crowd at Thomas Fieldhouse.
 
The Bald Eagles opened Saturday with a five-set setback to Edinboro before rallying for a five-set victory over Jefferson. Lock Haven swept Virginia State, 3-0, on Friday to begin the tournament.
 
Olivia Taylor and Maddy Fox were named to the All-Tournament Team following their performances throughout the weekend.
 
Lock Haven, which had won 12 straight sets entering Saturday's action, has now won five of its last six matches and moved to 6-4 overall on the season.
 
Edinboro 3, Lock Haven 2
Lock Haven dropped a tightly contested five-set match to Edinboro, 3-2, by scores of 25-11, 24-26, 25-23, 22-25 and 15-9.
 
Despite the setback, the Bald Eagles showed resilience after falling behind early, answering with wins in the second and fourth sets to force a decisive fifth frame.
 
Maddie Mitchell led Lock Haven's offense with 19 kills, while Reagan Irons added 16 kills and Gracelynn Wolzen finished with 13. Natalie Gibson directed the offense with 50 assists and also recorded 20 digs.
 
Taylor turned in a strong all-around effort with four service aces and a match-high 38 digs. Demi Ross also served up four aces, while Samantha Rouser added two.
 
At the net, Payton Stanton led the way with five blocks. Wolzen contributed two blocks, and Irons added one.
 
Lock Haven 3, Jefferson 2
The Bald Eagles responded in their final match of the tournament, battling back from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Jefferson, 3-2, by scores of 28-26, 11-25, 18-25, 25-15 and 15-9.
 
After taking a competitive opening set, Lock Haven used a dominant fourth-set performance to even the match before closing out the comeback with a 15-9 victory in the fifth set.
 
Fox paced the Bald Eagles with 16 kills, while Irons and Wolzen each added 15. Gibson once again quarterbacked the offense with 50 assists, and Taylor added 10 assists.
 
Taylor anchored the defensive effort with a match-high 45 digs. Irons and Gibson each posted 16 digs, helping Lock Haven extend rallies and regain momentum late in the match.
 
Taylor, Gibson and Rouser each recorded two service aces. Fox led Lock Haven at the net with two blocks, while Katelynn Olmstead and Stanton each added one.
 
Lock Haven will look to carry its recent momentum into its next competition after a successful weekend on its home court.

The Bald Eagles return to the road and will visit Bloomsburg on Friday, Sept. 18 for a 6 p.m. non-conference match.
