Lock Haven returns home for the first time in 2026 in Week 3, hosting nationally ranked Kutztown on Saturday, Sept. 19. Kickoff from Hubert Jack Stadium is set for 6 p.m., and The Haven is calling on fans to Pack the Jack.

Lock Haven Storylines

• Lock Haven enters its home opener at 1-1 overall after opening the season with two road contests. The Bald Eagles earned a 24-16 victory at Shippensburg on Aug. 29 before falling 21-14 at American International on Sept. 5.
• Through two games, Lock Haven has scored 38 points and is averaging 310.5 yards of total offense per game. The Haven has held opponents to 18.5 points per game and has recorded seven sacks for 39 yards.
• Quarterback Carson Nagle has thrown for 359 yards and three touchdowns. He completed 32 of 59 passes through the first two games, while also connecting with a variety of targets in the passing game.
• Mekhi Watson leads the Bald Eagles in receiving with 11 catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Jake Roberts has added four receptions for 74 yards, while Jay Von Tucker-Scott has caught four passes for 49 yards.
• Ezequiel Johnson has been an all-purpose threat for The Haven. He leads the team with 124 rushing yards, has added 82 kickoff-return yards and owns a team-high 212 all-purpose yards.
• Cureem Hathcock has provided a physical complement in the run game with 71 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Artie Poindexter has scored twice for the Bald Eagles.
• Defensively, Lock Haven has been active behind the line of scrimmage, totaling 18 tackles for loss and seven sacks. Martin Wantong leads the team with three sacks, while Luc Richard Rameau has posted three tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
• Raheem Reid paces Lock Haven with 19 total tackles, and Gavin Papp has recorded 13 tackles, including a sack.
• Kevin Carrigan has been a weapon in the field-position battle, averaging 46.6 yards per punt with a 44.5-yard net average.

 
Scouting No. Kutztown

• Kutztown arrives in Lock Haven at 2-0 following a 56-35 road win at Assumption on Sept. 3 and a 45-14 victory over Clarion in its home opener on Sept. 12. The Golden Bears have scored 101 points through two games.
• Kutztown is averaging 50.5 points, 472.5 total yards and 34:36 in time of possession per game. The Golden Bears have been especially efficient on third down, converting 18 of 25 opportunities for a 72 percent rate.
• The Golden Bears feature a balanced offense that averages 210.5 rushing yards and 262.0 passing yards per contest. Kutztown has rushed for seven touchdowns and thrown six touchdown passes in its first two games.
• Quarterback Judd Novak has completed 40 of 62 passes for 524 yards and six touchdowns without an interception. He is also Kutztown's fourth-leading rusher with 53 yards and a rushing touchdown.
• Craig Miller leads the Golden Bears on the ground with 78 yards on 14 carries, an average of 5.6 yards per attempt. Jaedyn Stewart has added 133 rushing yards and four touchdowns, while Steven Burkhardt has rushed for 76 yards and two scores.
• Lenniek Preston is Kutztown's leading receiver with eight catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Jaimen Bryant has hauled in six receptions for 101 yards and three scores, and Tyrenne Hynson has caught five passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns.

 
Game Notes

• Home-field energy: Saturday marks the first opportunity for Bald Eagle fans to create a Hubert Jack Stadium atmosphere in 2026. The message is simple: Pack the Jack and give The Haven a home-field edge against one of the PSAC East's premier programs.
• Pressure vs. production: Lock Haven's front has produced seven sacks in two games, while Kutztown enters with one of the league's most productive offenses. Generating disruption, forcing long-yardage situations and getting off the field on third down will be central to The Haven's defensive effort.
• All-purpose playmakers: Johnson has already impacted games as a rusher and kickoff returner, while Watson has emerged as Nagle's top target. Big plays from that group could provide the momentum needed in the home opener.
• Possession battle: Kutztown has controlled the ball for more than 34 minutes per game, so sustaining drives and winning situational downs will be pivotal for Lock Haven on Saturday night.

Parking / Game Day Shuttle Information: Hubert Jack Stadium Parking Lot Closed This Weekend 
The parking lot at Hubert Jack Stadium will be closed, Friday, Sept. 18 at 9 p.m. and will remain closed until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, when the lot will be opened for tailgating at Saturday's football game. The Bald Eagles are set to host Kutztown at 6 p.m.
 
Vehicles not removed from the Hubert Jack Stadium parking lot by 9 p.m. on Friday may be towed at the owner's expense.
 
There will be no general parking at the stadium on Saturday. Fans are encouraged to park for free in the Zimmerli Lots (Lot No. 8 and 16).
 
Starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday, a free shuttle will be available to transport fans from the Zimmerli Lot Area (Pickup in Lot No. 8) to the stadium. The game day shuttle will run from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. from the Zimmerli Lot Area to Hubert Jack Stadium. Additionally, handicapped parking will be limited at the stadium on game day.
