2009-10: Competed in the 133 lb. weight class. John won EWL’s and competed in Nationals…Posted an overall record of 27-9 with one major decision and five pins on the year. 

2008-2009: Redshirted last season. Clenched 5th place in the University Greco & Freestyle Wrestling National Championships.

2007-2008: Posted a strong record of 21-10 and had five pins and four major decisions on the year. He had the second fastest pin which was in 33 seconds. PSAC wrestler of the week. Placed 8th in the Southern Scuffle.

In High School: Four-time state place winner...Two-time Beast of the East runner-up...Seven-time Fargo Asics Vaughn Nationals All-American...2007 Fargo Greco Roman runner-up...Fila Cadet Double Style All-American...Also competed in track and cross country for the Green Knights.
