Dear Lock Haven Softball Supporter:
 
The Lock Haven Softball team’s 2026 season is underway and with the start of each new season, the team begins its quest to Knock MS Out of the Park. 
 
This will be our 20th year working with the National MS Society in the battle against MS and we are once again excited to do our part.
 
Over the last 19 years that we have worked with this fundraiser, we have raised approximately $49,000. Last year’s team was able to raise just over $1,000 for this worthy cause. The 2026 squad hopes to equal last year’s fundraising efforts. 
 
We are again asking for donors to assist us in this cause. As a donor, you can choose to pledge a dollar amount per home run hit by the Bald Eagles this season, or you can opt to pledge a flat donation. 
 
All proceeds from this event directly benefit the National MS Society.

MS & its special significance to Lock Haven Softball:
Former Lock Haven Head Coach and Alumna, Kim Lindsey (formerly Hasson) was diagnosed with MS in 1993.  Kim was a member of the 1988 NCAA DII National Championship Runner-Up squad. She then coached the Bald Eagles from 1990-1999. Many of you may know Kim as she has been on campus since 1985, before her recent retirement from her position as Lock Haven Athletics’ Equipment Manager.
 
Knock MS Out of the Park Game:
On Saturday, March 28, 2026 the Lock Haven Softball team will be hosting the program’s annual Knock MS Out of the Park Game against Kutztown University. Game 1 that day is set for a 1 p.m. start at Lawrence Field.  More details about this event will be available soon.
 
How will my donation help?
Participation in this program goes a long way to help eliminate MS and better the lives of those already affected.  MS is a disease that affects the central nervous system and approximately 1 million Americans have been diagnosed with MS in the United States. 
 
Contributions raised from the Knock MS out of the Park program will directly benefit the National MS Society.
 
Lock Haven Softball is proud to Knock MS out of the Park and we hope you will join our team in this important cause!
