Assistant Coach Robb Lawrence

On November 3, 2021, the Lock Haven University baseball program named Robb Lawrence as an assistant coach. He will join the Bald Eagles ahead of his first full season with LHU in the spring of 2022.

Lawrence will work primarily with pitchers and outfielders. He has over fifteen years of baseball coaching experience at different levels, including three seasons in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) with Clarion University, his alma mater.

As a student-athlete at Clarion, Lawrence played baseball and studied liberal studies. He triple minored in Athletic Coaching, Political Science and Information Systems. He received his bachelor of science degree in liberal studies in 2007.

He would later add his master of science in recreation and sport sciences from Ohio University in 2012.

Following his time in the classroom, Lawrence pursued a range of different coaching positions. In 2017, Lawrence returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach responsible for hitting and outfielding. He simultaneously absorbed alumni relation duties, recruiting responsibilities and served as the academic coordinator for the program.

While at Clarion he served as an adjunct instructor within the College of Health and Human Services. He also spent time as an interim director of campus recreation and as a student success coach.

He continued in that role until 2019 when he accepted an assistant coaching position with Frostburg State University, also working with hitters and outfielders. He served as an academic coordinator for that program as well.
