LHU Football 2020 Coaching Responsibilities & Duties

For Tobias, the 2020 season will be his second on the LHU football coaching staff. In 2020, he will work with the quarterbacks.

During the 2019 season, he held the title of running backs coach and assistant quarterbacks coach.

Tobias helped guide standout running back Chantz Swartz to All-Conference honors. Swartz led the PSAC East in rushing yards per game during the regular season. He was the No. 2 overall back in the PSAC with 102.9 yards per game. Despite missing two games late in the season, Swartz finished with 926 yards overall in an attempt to become Lock Haven's first 1,000-yard rusher since 1981. He finished with seven rushing touchdowns and he also hauled in one TD catch on the year.

Last season in 2019 and for the first time in school history LHU amassed over 2,000 yards rushing and passing in a single season. LHU rushed for 2,175 yards and threw for 2,165.

He joined the coaching staff after a standout playing career at LHU.

Over his four-year playing career, he played in 41 games at QB and threw for 2,600 total yards and 17 touchdowns. Tobias' final season proved to be his best, as he threw for 1,783 yards and 14 TDs in 10 games. On September 24, 2018, Tobias was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Following the 2018 season, Tobias was awarded with 2018-19 National Football Foundation (NFF) College Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society academic honors.

Tobias earned his degree at LHU (’19) in sports administration and a minor in exercise psychology, and he is currently enrolled in LHU's Master of Science (Sports Administration Track).
