The 2021 season will mark coach Lowery’s first at LHU. He will lead the defensive line.
Lowery began his coaching career alongside Kelling at Frostburg State. He served as a defensive assistant coach during the 2019 season and was a graduate assistant coach with both the football and track & field programs at Frostburg from 2017-2019. During his time as a coach and his four-year playing career, Lowery was part of dominating defensive units.
In 2019 Frostburg was 8-3 overall. Frostburg ranked in the top half in the nation in total defense and finished 29th overall in scoring defense (DII). The Bobcats defense ranked No. 1 in the Mountain East Conference, while Frostburg ranked No. 2 in the league in sacks and No. 4 in the MEC in interceptions.
As a student-athlete at Frostburg ('17), Lowery competed on the football and track & field teams. On the football field, he was named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference Second Team at defensive line in 2016. The Bobcats went 10-1 in 2016 with one of the nation's top defensive units.
