Michael Derasmo joined the Lock Haven football program prior to the 2022 season as the defensive backs coach, as well as the strength and conditioning coach. The 2023 season will be his second at The Haven.

The 2022 season ushered in a new era for Lock Haven football under new leadership and it started in thrilling fashion. During Week 1 action on the road, the Bald Eagles held off post, 35-34, for an exciting victory.

He was also was a member of head coach Dan Mulrooney’s staff at Anna Maria College since 2019. With the AMCATS, Derasmo coached the linebackers in the 2019 season, before taking control of the defensive backs in 2020. Derasmo was a collegiate linebacker and team captain at Division II West Virginia Wesleyan from 2013-15, and in 2019, he earned his masters of science in coaching & sport education from West Virginia University.

Defense was a large part of Anna Maria’s ECFC championship and Derasmo coached three players to All-Conference honors, including Armstrong Antoine, who set the Anna Maria all-time record for most pass breakups during the 2021 season.
