The 2017 season will mark the return to The Haven for Traister – a LHU graduate and former Bald Eagle football player - who rejoined the LHU football coaching staff in the summer of 2017.
Traister returns to Lock Haven after several very successful seasons of coaching high school football at Northampton High School in Virginia.
Traister will coach the tight ends and fullbacks in his return to Lock Haven.
He spent two seasons as the head coach at Northampton High School, where he helped the team increase both player participation and fundraising dollars. In 2016, Northampton tied its highest win total in eight years, and as the head coach Traister led all facets of the program.
Following his playing days at LHU, Traister served as a student-assistant coach with the Bald Eagles. He graduated from LHU in 2012 (B.S., health and Physical Education) and he earned his master’s from LHU in 2013 (Sports Studies).
