2012: Coming into her senior season for the Lady Eagles, Gao Xuan has already won PSAC East Player of the Year 3 years in a row … She has been the most dominate player in the PSAC East since she arrived at LHU back in 2009 … Gao is no stranger to individual awards, but this season, she will look to lead her Lock Haven to their first PSAC Championship since 2006.
2011: In her third year Gao Xuan has without a doubt made the biggest impact for the Lock Haven University squad ... Gao played in 106 matches and in those 106 matches she was able to record a team high 453 kills which averaged 4.27 kills per game … She was third on the team with 39 serving aces, third on the team with 242 digs and third on the team with 61 total blocks ... In her strong three year career thus far she was able to eclipse the 1,000 kill mark ... Gao’s impressive performance on the court has led to some prestige’s accolades ... Gao was named to the Daktronics All-American team and received an Honorable Mention from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American status ... She also earned All-Atlantic Region and Daktronics All-Atlantic Region First team status ... For her play in the Atlantic Region Tournament she was named to the Atlantic Region All-Tournament team ... Finally she was named three year in a row PSAC East Player of the Year and PSAC Frist team honors ... She will look to continue her dominance in the PSAC East for her fourth and final year of competition.
2010: Appeared in 29 matches for the Lady Eagles ... Led team in kills with 427 and kills per game at 3.81 ... Had 19 service aces ... Second on team with 300 digs ... Assisted on 41 blocks ... Finished the season earning both AVCA and Daktronics All-American Honorable Mention … Gao did receive AVCA and Daktronics All-Atlantic Region First Team, PSAC East Player of the Year, and PSAC East First Team.
2009: Played in 127 games for the Lady Eagles … Had an outstanding freshman year being named an AVCA All-American … AVCA Freshman of the Year … AVCA All-Atlantic Region First Team … Daktronics All-Atlantic Region First Team … PSAC East Player of the Year … PSAC East Freshman of the Year … Recorded 436 kills, 143 assists, 319 digs, and 65 blocks
