Rocco Birns was named the Lock Haven men’s soccer team’s graduate assistant coach in 2026 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology at The Haven.

A 2026 graduate of Slippery Rock University, Birns earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Coaching, graduating summa cum laude. A four-year letterwinner for The Rock from 2022 to 2025, he was a key contributor to a program that reached the PSAC Semifinals in 2024.

Birns earned PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors all four years and was recognized as an Academic All-PSAC selection in 2025.

A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Birns graduated from Parkland High School in 2022. He is the son of Patrick and Marlanda Birns and has one sister, Rosella.
