Paige Stuppy of the LHU softball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Female’s Athlete of the Week.

Stuppy got the bat going for the LHU softball team, sparking the Bald Eagles to their ninth straight victory. Over a four-game stretch, which included sweeps over East Stroudsburg and Slippery Rock, Stuppy hit .500 (5 for 10). She had three doubles, scored two runs and drove in a pair. Her slugging percentage was .800 and she had on-base percentage of .500.

In the extra-inning win over SRU, she drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth on a double to the wall. Stuppy was 2 for 4 in game one for SRU and 2 for 3 in game two.
