Rashana Tompkins of the LHU women’s indoor track & field team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Female’s Athlete of the Week.

Tompkins kicked off the 2017-18 indoor track & field season with a bang at the Bucknell Bison Opener over the weekend.

She competed in the 60-meter hurdle where she smashed the LHU school record when she clocked a time of 9.09. That time also easily qualified her for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship.

Tompkins then placed second in the finals where she was the top collegiate runner.
