Bekah Slattery of the LHU Softball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.

Slattery was dominant in her two starts and one relief appearance last week as the Bald Eagles opened up Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central action with sweeps of both Bloomsburg and Indiana (Pa.).

The junior gunslinger went 2-0 posting 28 strikeouts in 16 innings of play as she limited opposing batters to a .234 batting average and a 2.62 ERA. She threw two complete game gems as she struck out 12 batters vs Bloomsburg and then against Indiana (Pa.) she fanned 13 hitters.

At the plate Slattery also was very impressive as she hit .500 going 2-4 including a double that drove in one RBI.
