Bald Eagles fall 3-1 to #17 Saint Thomas Aquinas College

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (6-4) fell 3-1 to visiting and 17th ranked Saint Thomas Aquinas College (6-1-4) today at Hubert Jack Stadium in non-conference action.
 
The Spartans took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute and they made it 2-0 exactly six minutes later.
 
Less than five minutes into the second half, the Bald Eagles found themselves down 3-0 after Sean Reily put home a free kick from 20 yards out.
 
Adam Supplee (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) put LHU on the board in the 56th minute. He took a long through ball from Greg Shertzer (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) and fired it far post.
 
LHU goalie Chris Frederick (Woodsboro, Md./Walkersville) got the start in goal and made  four saves in 54 plus minutes of work.
 
Brad Sumski (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) also saw time in net for LHU and was credited with three saves down the stretch.
 
Lock Haven is right back at it tomorrow (Tuesday, October 11) at 2 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host Molloy.
