LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (10-7, 6-2 PSAC) got a pair of first half goals off corner kicks and the Bald Eagles upset No. 13 Millersville University (9-6-1, 6-2 PSAC) 2-0 today to move atop the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) standings.
The Bald Eagles have now knocked off a top-25 team twice in three games. Both Lock Haven and Millersville have 18 points in the conference standings, but LHU sits alone in first as of now, thanks to today's crucial win.
Lock Haven took control of today's match from the opening whistle and controlled the pace of the match throughout.
LHU was rewarded in the 16th minute after perfect corner kick.
Billy Pasukinis (Benton, Pa./Benton) put a beautiful left-footed, in-swinging corner kick right on the head of
Mark Tattersall (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep), who neatly headed the ball into the upper corner.
Lock Haven struck again in the 41st minute thanks to another strong attack that led to a corner kick.
This time it was
Kevin Wolfe (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township), who sent a ball far post. Wolfe's cross found
Martin Pletz (Pittsburgh/Carlynton), who headed the ball far post to put LHU in command, 2-0.
Adam Supplee (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) was all over the field for Lock Haven and a huge reason behind today's win.
Defensively, the Bald Eagles got support from everyone on the field as the win was a true-team effort.

Lock Haven closes out the regular season on Saturday, October 9 at 7 p.m. at rival Slippery Rock University.
