SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (6-9-3, 4-8-2 PSAC) closed out the 2011 season with a 2-0 loss at No. 22 Slippery Rock University (13-3-2, 10-2-2 PSAC).
Two first half goals from Shelby Ward proved to be the difference for The Rock tonight.
Madison Taylor (Center Township, Pa./Center) and
Natalie Isett (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) both had two shots for Lock Haven as the pair did all they good to spark up some Haven offense.
Goalie
Hayley Zinn (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) made two saves in the loss.
The youthful Lady Eagles have a lot to be proud of as they played tremendous soccer down the stretch and showed strong promise for the years to come.
After starting the year 0-4, LHU closed out the season 6-5-3.
