LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (2-6-2, 1-5-2 PSAC) fell at home to No. 19 Edinboro (10-3, 7-3 PSAC) today 1-0 in PSAC West action.
 
The Lady Eagles put together a tremendous defensive effort to stifle Edinboro's offense all day, but came up just short.
 
Freshman Natalie Isett (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) led The Haven with two shots on goal.
 
Senior goal keeper Hayley Zinn (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) recorded six saves on the day.
 
The Lady Eagles fell behind early in the first half as Edinboro's Samantha Kaiser scored on a penalty kick in the 25th minute.
 
Kaiser's goal proved to be the lone score of the game.
 
In honor of former LHU goal keeper Kim Bentley the team recognized the “To Write Love on Her Arms” organization during the game.
 
“To Write Love on Her Arms” is a non-profit group dedicated to creating awareness and prevention of depression, addiction and self-injury.
 
The team wore and sold green t-shirts during the game to benefit the cause.
 
The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Monday, October 10 when they host Millersville University at Hubert Jack Stadium at 4 p.m.
