LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Bradon Brader (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) rushed for over 100 yards for the fourth time this season, but it wasn't enough as the Lock Haven University football team (0-9, 0-7 PSAC West) fell to visiting Indiana (Pa.) University (6-3, 5-2 PSAC West) 56-6 today in the Bald Eagles final home game of the 2011 season.
Brader rushed for an even 100 yards on 30 carries.
Lock Haven prevented the shutout with just 58 seconds left in the game as
Jarrett Kratzer (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) hit
Jay Hartman (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) for a 24-yard touchdown.
The two Indian Valley products touchdown was a memorable one for Hartman as it was the last touchdown for Hartman, a senior in front of the Bald Eagle faithful.
Kratzer's touchdown pass capped off a 13-play, 81-yard drive.
Hartman made four catches for 57 yards.
IUP jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter and led 42-0 at halftime after the Crimson Hawks posted four touchdowns in the second quarter.
Skyler Wool (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) led LHU with five tackles.
Tyrai Anderson (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) and senior
Ibrahim Smith (New Bloomfield, Pa./West Perry) each made four tackles.
IUP was led by James Johnson's 97 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Quarterback Pat Smith passed for two touchdowns.
Prior to kickoff LHU honored its five seniors in Smith and Hartman, along with
Jarryd Burkett (Altoona, Pa./Altoona),
Donovan Norris (Pittsburgh/Schenley) and
Devin Sims (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro).
Lock Haven closes out the 2011 season at No. 12 Bloomsburg University next Saturday, November 12 at 1 p.m.
