CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (3-1, 2-1 PSAC) scored three second half goals to knock off rival and 12th ranked California (Pa.) University (6-1-1, 1-1 PSAC) 3-1 on the road tonight in conference action.
After a scoreless first half,
Martin Pletz (Pittsburg/Carlynton) put LHU up 1-0 in the 59th minute.
Billy Pasukinis (Benton, Pa./Benton) made it 2-0 LHU in the 68th minute and
Greg Shertzer (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) kept Lock Haven rolling with a goal in the 71st minute.
Cal tried to rally, but netted just the one goal in the 75th minute.
Chad Badorf (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) came up big for Lock Haven in goal and made four saves.
The Bald Eagles got a tremendous defensive effort from everyone in the lineup and their hard work led The Haven to the all-important road win.
