ERIE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (0-4-1, 0--1 PSAC) earned a hard-fought draw on road at Gannon University (4-1-2, 2-1-2 PSAC) as the two teams battled to a 2-2 double-overtime tie this afternoon in Erie.
The tie marked the first point of the year for the Lady Eagles, who led 2-0.
After a scoreless first half,
Natalie Isett (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) put LHU up 1-0 just 1:17 into the second half.
Madison Taylor (Center Township, Pa./Center) made it 2-0 in the 58th minute.
Gannon scored in the 69th and 80th minute to tie the match at 2-2.
Despite an extra 20 minutes of play, both teams were deadlocked at 2-2 after 110 minutes.
Dana Wozniak (Blackstone, Mass./Mount St. Charles Academy) made six saves for Lock Haven.
LHU returns to action on Saturday (September 24) at 1:30 p.m. at Mansfield.
