LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (2-4-1, 1-3-1 PSAC) defeated East Stroudsburg University (4-5-1, 1-5-1 PSAC) today in a hard-fought conference match at Hubert Jack Stadium.
The win marked the second straight for The Haven.
Freshman sisters
Jamie Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) and
Jenna Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) each scored a goal for the Lady Eagles.
Jamie's goal came in the 10
th minute as she was able to collect a loose ball behind the Warriors defense and fire it into the far post.
East Stroudsburg was able to pull even at one before the half, but Jenna quickly changed that with an early goal in the second half that would prove to be the game winner.
Jenna got around her defender and blasted a shot from 22 yards out to give the Lady Eagles the 2-1 lead.
Senior goal keeper
Hayley Zinn (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) recorded three saves in net.
The Lady Eagles are back in action tomorrow when they host Bloomsburg at Hubert Jack Stadium at 12:30 p.m.
