Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Jamie Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) scored two goals and tallied an assist today to lead the Lock Haven University women's soccer team to a 3-2 upset win over No. 2 West Chester University (11-1-1, 8-1-1 PSAC).

The win is LHU's first win over a top-5 nationally ranked team since the 2003 season, when The Haven beat No. 2 West Chester on the road, 2-1 (11/7/03).

Jamie Hunter got the Lock Haven (6-3-4, 3-3-4 PSAC) offense going early, as she netted the first goal of the match in the 13th minute.

Hunter dribbled through the box and beat West Chester goalkeeper Shannon Fedyk to the upper near post.  The goal was Hunter's third of the season.

The Lady Eagles kept their foot on the gas and in the 27th minute were able to score their second goal of the game.  This time, it was freshman Haylea Myers (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) who found the net for LHU.  Myers collected a pass from Hunter and beat Fedyk to the far post to put The Haven up 2-0.

The Lady Rams would not go away however, and they got on the scoreboard in the 36th minute when Erika Schrock headed in a corner kick from Rachel Miller.

The Haven held on to a 2-1 lead at the halftime break.

LHU got back on the scoreboard early in the second half and once again, Hunter was the goal scorer.  Madison Taylor (Monaca, Pa./Center) received a crossing pass from the far side of the field and flicked a sensational header that landed right on Hunter's foot for the goal.

The goal put The Haven up 3-1 and was Hunter's fourth of the season.

West Chester's Brianna Hires cut the LHU lead to 3-2 in the 62nd minute, but The Haven defense held strong for the rest of the match to preserve the 3-2 upset victory.

Haven goalkeeper Dana Wozniak (Blackstone, Mass./Mount St. Charles Academy) made four saves on her way to grabbing her fourth win of the season.

The win is LHU's first over a ranked team since last season, when The Haven beat No. 16 Kutztown, 1-0 (10/19/11) and marked the first loss of the season for West Chester

The Lady Eagles continue to be a force in the PSAC and are now unbeaten in their last seven matches (3-0-4).

LHU will be back in action Tuesday (October 16) when they host Edinboro University at Hubert Jack Stadium for a PSAC matchup.  Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
