LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (6-10-1, 2-7 PSAC) closed out the 2012 regular season with a 1-0 double-overtime loss to rival Slippery Rock (9-3-6, 4-3-2 PSAC).

It took 104-plus minutes of action to solve the tough-physical battle.

The Rock earned the win when Thad Madzelonka scored in the 105th minute.

Chris Davis chested a long ball into the box from Zach Hall down to a wide-open Madzelonka, who calmly slotted the ball far post from 10 yards out.

Jacob Oldaker (Elliotsburg, Pa./West Perry) led LHU with a pair of strong scoring opportunities.

Haven goalie Chris Frederick (Woodsboro, Md./Walkersville) was credited with one save in the loss.

Following the match, Lock Haven took a moment to honor its three Bald Eagle seniors in Gregory Bretz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg), Bobby Mohr (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) and David Qaisi (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley).
