WINTER PARK, Fla.  – The No. 4 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (1-1) dropped a hard-fought 18-10 decision at No. 4 Rollins College (8-0) tonight in a battle of two of the nation's best teams.

Lock Haven and Rollins found themselves in a tie for fourth in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II National Poll.

Gwen Buss (Harrisburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) was a huge spark in the Lady Eagles offense as she netted four goals.

Emily Cilla (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) and Elyse Fisher (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) both netted two goals apiece.

Kayleigh Johnson (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) and Kate McKague (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista) also tallied goals for LHU.

Johnson continued to be The Haven's playmaker and dished out a pair of assists.

Nicole Necci (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) made 10 saves in goal for Lock Haven.

Rollins led 3-0 before Cilla opened The Haven scoring. Her goal with 25:54 left in the opening half made it 3-1 RC.

Rollins led 11-3 at half, but LHU continued to press in the second half.

Fisher and Buss scored 28 second apart to make it 15-9 with 12:58 left in the game, but LHU couldn't get any closer down the stretch.

Erica Pagliarulo scored a game-high five goals for Rollins.

Lock Haven closes out play in Florida on Saturday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. when the Lady Eagles take on No. 6 Limestone College at Rollins.
